初めて行ってきました、六本木ヒルズ！ＥＣサイト向けセミナーに参加するためだったのですが、い
やあ、ホリエモンはこんなところを闊歩していたのね、とおのぼりさん状態でした。 I visited Roppongi Hills for the first time to attend a seminar for net shop owners. I was such a hick that I thought, Wow, Horiemon walked around such a high-end place! |

てまり寿司（定番）、潮汁（今年初めて挑戦しました）、桜餅に草餅（市販品） Sushi shaped in Japanese traditional thread ball, light soup of clam and rape blossom, cherry tree rice cake and herbal rice cake (bought at at a confectioner's). |

つい最近まで暗い北向きの部屋でじっとしていた水栽培のヒヤシンスが、一気に満開に。本格的に、
春ですね！ Hydro-cultured Hyacinth, kept for a while in a dark room facing the north, reached full bloom all at once. Spring really has come! |

バースデーケーキ
Birthday Cake

夫の誕生日いつもチョコレートケーキのスポンジが膨らまなくて失敗するので、今日はチョコレート
ブラウニーにしてみました。デコレーションがしょぼくて分かりにくくなっていますが、一応ハート型
です。 I made a browny as a birthday cake for my husband, instead of a chocolate cake because I always failed to raise dough sufficiently. Cream decoration is so shabby that it's hard to recognize, it's in the shape of heart. |

雪、ふたたび
Snow Again

今シーズン二度目の積雪。雨混じりで、笹の葉についた雪も何だか昔の冷蔵庫の霜のように寒々しい。 We had the second snowfall for this winter. It was mixed with rain and Snow on bamboo leaves looked like frost in old fridge. |

雪のあと

おととい東京で今シーズン初めての積雪！一日中降って翌日の昨日は朝から晴天で、私と息子は朝から
外に飛び出し雪遊び。 娘は家にこもり、お正月に叔父さんにねだってゲットしたカンカラ三線を、 よなは徹の三線教室 初級編 
を見ながら猛練習。We had the first snowfall for this winter two days ago. It snowed for about the whole day, and yesterday, which was very cold but sunny, my son and I went out in the morning to play with the snow. My daughter was stuck inside the house and practiced "kankara-sanshin," which her uncle reluctantly agreed to give to her on the New Year's Day, with DVD manual. |

沖縄での冬休み

ぐすーよー、いい正月でーびる！ （皆さま、明けましておめでとうございます） 例年通り沖縄で年を越しましたが、年末は雨や風が強く部屋にこもってばかりいました。 A Happy New Year! We went home in Okinawa to spend new year's eve and new year as usual, but we spent most of the time indoor, thanks to heavy rain and strong wind. 右の写真は友人に「B29の離発着がきれいに見える」と勧められた嘉手納の食堂で撮りました。正月休みな のか目当ての軍用機は見られませんでしたが、暗く沈んだ海もなかなか素敵でした。 The pictures in the right were taken at a restaurant we visited, following my friend's advice that we can see clearly leaving and arriving B29. Maybe because it's in holiday, we couldn't see the military plane, we enjoyed the sight of dark, gloomy sea. パラセーリングやビーチバレーを楽しもうとやってきたホテルですが、ヴェランダで波の音を聞きながら 久しぶりに読書。 We stayed at a hotel to enjoy parasailing and beach volleyball, but I ended up reading at a deck, listening to a soothing sound of waves. 元日の朝、首里城へ散歩。本当は無料で見られる琉球舞踊を見たかったのですが、午前中は有料のイベン ト朝拝御規式（ちょうはいおきしき）しかなかったので、仕方なくそれを見ることに。古楽器の演奏や中国語の 掛け声が面白かった。 We walked to the Shurijo Castle in the morning of new year's day. We wanted to see the traditional Ryukyu dancing which is supposed to be free, but there was only a paid event, a ceremony in which the ancient king of the Ryukyus offer a prayer for a new year, so we saw it. It was pretty interesting to listen to ancient music and words of command in Chinese. |
